Obama Speech: 'A More Perfect Union'
if you have 40 minutes to spare, watch this video. Even if you don't agree with the man, this speech is incredible.

Incredible speech, maybe, but he gets his family history wrong right off the bat. There were no bomb making facilities at Ft. Leavenworth. His mother worked in Wichita. His father's background didn't get much mention. Take a look into it.
I'm not going to say that you can't see the forest for the trees, but...
His mother was born in Nov. 29th, 1942 in Fort Leavenworth, KS. It was actually a bomber - not bomb - assembly plant, that his Grandmother worked at. Obama mentioned that his Grandfather was fighting in WWII.
All those politicians are crooks! Don't believe a word they say!
I have no basis for my thoughts, just a gut feeling.
I will concede that Obama is a powerful speaker, great at swooning unsuspecting and non-critical thinkers, but that hardly makes him a worthy option for President.
That's correct, bomber instead of bomb plant. As far as "forest for trees" I don't think so. I acknowledged he is a great speaker, which I believe was the "forest" you were trying to get across in your post, i.e., I see the "forest" of his apt oratory skills. Yet, trees do make up a forests and there are some troubling trees.
I finally finished watching this, and I will admit, JMJ, it is the best speech I've heard in a long time. In particular I liked his discussion of the complexities of the white/black issue and how those are exploited by people on both sides of the white/black divide. He is frighteningly good.
