The visuals were raucous and intense...how was the music?
Don't know why, but of all the better known cool bands, Flaming Lips was one I never dove into. Well, I splashed around pretty well in repeated listenings of one album (who's name escapes me...see?). Maybe I'll "find" them again five years down the road.
But for now lots of folks I know--with great taste in music--listen to, talk about, and go see The Flaming Lips while I just keep mum.
I thought the sound on the first song out of the gate was messed up, but they quickly fixed it. Other than that the music was great...one of the best rock concerts I've ever been to.
