A colleague of mine was quick to point out the difference in reactions between the two types of women. I had not previously picked up on this, but it is rather interesting. This could be an interesting topic for "Freakonomics II".
Maybe the prevalence of public farting would be less if more abortions were performed during the era in which these fitness ladies were born. Statistics show that methane gas levels from flatulence are at record lows due to liberalized abortion laws.
