This M.I.A. has been a darling of the indie rock scene now for the last three or four years. Pitchfork goes nuts for her. This is the first time I've ever listened to her, and...? I get the whole retro lo fi reggae rap faux 80sish sound, I'm just not sure she's good looking enough (a la Mya) to stick around and listen to more. Did someone say Shallow Hal?
